Magic Musk: the beginning of deep space travel

TODAY may have been the transient moment when deep space travel began.

Decades from now, we may look back on this landmark date and acknowledge this is when it all started, from a launch site in Florida when the founder of Tesla successfully lifted-off his Falcon Heavy rocket into space.

The moment is reminiscent of Star Trek’s Zefram Cochrane discovering deep space exploration by inventing the warp drive system to achieve light speed, on April 5th, 2063!

In First Contact, Cochrane made Earth’s first warp flight playing Steppenwolf’s “Magic Carpet Ride” … yesterday, Musk’s Telsa Roadster started orbiting earth playing David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” on repeat!

Musk may not have invented light-speed flight -yet – but the South African-Canadian inventor billionaire is still only 46, and 2063 is still 45 years away…

The Martian

Space X, as well as SolarCity and Tesla are driven by Musk’s vision to change the world and humanity, and reducing the risk of human extinction by establishing a human colony on Mars.

In Ridley Scott’s The Martian, Matt Damon’s mission to Mars occurs in 2035. Elon Musk’s update plans call for a giant rocket that could send humans to Mars by 2024…in six years!
